Eliminate Data Errors with Magento
& Infor System21 Integration

One of our clients is a leading provider of high quality beauty and skin care products across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. They wanted to integrate their Infor System21 ERP system with Magento commerce using LANSA in real time mode.
The integration would streamline and automate their entire business process and ensure that customer information, product information, and order status updates were automatically entered into the Magento store front, which would provide customers with accurate, up-to-date information.
The client was entering records manually from their front end to back end systems. This was becoming very tedious and laborious due to the huge volume of transactions and often resulted in operational inefficiencies and high turnaround time. We were able to accomplish this, but it required integrating different systems in a complicated manner and monitoring a lot of resources.

Our Solution

Initially, Infor System21  didn’t expose web services. Our client’s current vendor was responsible for generating web services on top of Infor System21 . After having generated web services on Infor S21, the exposed web services were directly consumed by Magento. The most obvious reason to integrate Magento e-commerce storefront with Infor System21 was to avoid manual key entry, which is time-consuming and can cause errors while entering orders as well as customer and product information. With integration in place, transactions were updated in both systems in real time mode.
While integrating the two systems, i95Dev experts ensured everything was managed on top of the Magento interface. This decreased the dependency of managing operations and processes on the client’s Infor System21 ERP. We performed some unique customizations, including sales person, credit memos, and price levels for their present system.
Our experts also integrated the client’s present Magento web interface with Connex, a very effective HR management system. i95Dev deployed an extension on Magento, which communicated with the Connex HR management system to push hot jobs and vacancies listed on their web interface to the Human resource department.
The last phase included integrating Magento and Accumulator. Accumulator was a loyalty/reward program system which enabled our client’s customers to access another payment option while shopping online.
