Magento + Dynamics 365 F&O

Magento Finance and Operations Integration, Built Around the Instance You Already Run.

Dynamics 365 F&O gives you governance. Magento gives you control. Most integrations cost you one to get the other. We build to the instance you already run, customisations included, and own it long after go-live.

The enterprise question

Two deliberate decisions. Don’t let the integration undo either one.

Magento finance and operations integration services for enterprises

Evaluating Adobe Commerce’s native B2B suite instead? The Adobe Commerce + Dynamics 365 F&O page is the closer fit.

Built for enterprises where F&O’s governance and Magento’s source-level control are both non-negotiable.

Magento + Dynamics 365 F&O

When nobody owns both sides, your customizations break first.

F&O holds the record: pricing, entities, financials. Magento is the storefront you built the way the business needed it. Whether those two agree stops being housekeeping the moment real B2B volume runs through custom checkout and catalogue logic.

A trade agreement changes in F&O. Whether it reached the storefront right depends on whether the integration understood trade agreements at all, or just grabbed a number.
Your Magento carries custom modules from three different projects. The last integration knew about one of them.
The agency that built the original sync has moved on. Nobody left can say what it does under load.
A Magento upgrade lands, and the integration is the first thing to break, because no one built it expecting one.

An integration you have to supervise, on a storefront you built so you wouldn’t have to ask.

F&O pricing reaches the storefront as configured, custom logic included.
Your modules are known inputs, not landmines.
A departed agency isn’t a single point of failure.
A Magento upgrade is a scheduled test, not a surprise.

Integrations like this rarely fail on the API. They fail after the agency leaves and the platform upgrades, with no one left who owns the seam.

Your integration. Every moving part.

Two release schedules, and often a third variable: whoever built it is gone.

A Magento D365 F&O integration has three things moving under it. F&O ships release waves twice a year. Magento retires versions on its own schedule, 2.4.6’s support ended in August 2026 and 2.4.9 forces a PHP jump. And whoever built the integration was usually staffed to the original project, not to the years after it. Any one of the three can break the connection without warning.

One team owns all three.

A platform update becomes our maintenance event, not your emergency, and never a scramble to find someone who still remembers how the integration was wired. You won’t be the one explaining to leadership why the storefront stopped taking orders after a routine upgrade.

F&O: release waves, twice yearly

Magento: 2.4.6 end of support, August 2026

The third variable: the original builder may be long gone

Why this distinction matters

We build as if F&O is the record and Magento is yours to keep. Connectors don’t.

A connector’s job ends at the field: pull a value, push a value. It has no concept of a trade agreement, a legal entity, or a financial dimension, so when one doesn’t map cleanly, you’re the one who finds out.

We start from what each system actually is, F&O the record of the business, Magento the code you own. Entities, dimensions, and your customisations get architected in before build, the account-level logic your platform doesn’t ship with gets built rather than bolted on, and the whole layer stays ours to answer for past go-live.

For F&O retail operations

Your Stores and Your Storefront Already Talk. Do They Agree?

If Dynamics 365 also runs your POS, you already sell across channels. The question isn’t whether you have omnichannel. It’s whether the numbers behind it are live, or lagging because F&O reads your store data on a batch cycle instead of from the locations themselves. No physical stores on Dynamics 365? Skip ahead, the rest of this page still applies.
Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) is the retail engine your registers already run on. We architect the connection between it and your Magento storefront. Here is where the batch delay actually costs you.

Fully Fulfilment Accuracy

Shelf-accurate, not this-morning-accurate.

On a batch feed, “in stock” on the storefront means in stock whenever the last sync ran. Through CSU, F&O sees each location’s live count, so a ship-from-store or pickup promise still holds by the time the customer reaches checkout.

Pricing & Promotions Accuracy

One promotion, one price, everywhere.

When the storefront and the register read different feeds, a promotion lands in one place before the other. Through CSU, both are served by the same Dynamics 365 Commerce pricing engine, so a shopper never sees one number on their phone and another at the counter.

Loyalty & Gift Card Accuracy

A shopper’s balance, wherever they check it.

Points earned at the register and points shown online drift apart on a delayed feed, and someone reconciles the difference by hand. Through CSU, both read the same balance the moment it changes.

CSU isn’t extra middleware bolted onto your stack. It’s the engine your registers already run. We connect your Magento storefront to it, your existing F&O integration stays exactly as it is, and F&O remains your system of record.

Does this match the Magento instance you’re actually running?

Your version, your customisations, your F&O entities. We map it, we don’t replace it.
After go-live

Go-live isn’t the finish line here, it’s the start of the part that matters.

Three questions come up before anyone signs: who’s accountable, how is it secured, and what breaks when a platform updates. Answered here, so your architect and your controller both have something to take back internally.

Continuous accuracy

Orders, inventory, pricing, and customer records are checked as your F&O and Magento environments change. Drift gets caught before it reaches a customer, or the close.

Something your auditors can trust

What moved, when it moved, what it posted as, and what didn’t go through, all logged. Nobody on your finance team has to take our word for it.

Your Magento stays yours

Custom modules and version mapped, never rewritten. A change that shifts something is ours to catch, not yours to discover.

Self-hosted, still monitored

On your infrastructure doesn’t mean unwatched. Entra ID authentication, scoped API permissions, and controlled exception handling apply either way.

An agency that’s deep in Magento usually hasn’t touched F&O’s ledger. A partner that’s deep in F&O usually hasn’t touched Magento’s code. Twenty years in, we haven’t had to pick one.

When the original build wasn’t ours

Whoever built your Magento F&O integration probably isn’t maintaining it anymore.

Someone built your integration, a Magento agency when they built the site, or your F&O partner during the rollout. They did fine work. But an integration needs looking after for years.

What your agency or SI built

The original sync.

What we own

The commerce-integration layer.

What you stop owning

The question of who notices.

We map to what you already have, no rebuild required. We’re glad to work alongside whoever’s still engaged on either side rather than replace them.

Already running something?

Chances are the two are already wired together, somehow.

Usually built during the F&O rollout or the last Magento project, by a team strong on one side that never closed the gap on the other, and often not the team you’d call today.
First question we hear: will live orders break during the switch? They won’t. The new integration is proven before the old one retires.

Standard setups: audit to go-live in 4–8 weeks

What Our Client Says

The integration between Magento and our Dynamics system has been great. It’s allowed us to quickly release products to the ecommerce platform. We’ve had several instances where we’ve received new products, we have enabled them, we’ve delivered them to the websites, and they’ve sold out in a matter of hours.
